The activities of the BitCurator Consortium (BCC) standing committees support the mission of the BCC and provide oversight to ensure its programmatic goals are achieved. Committees will be comprised of voting members who will be appointed annually by the executive council to serve two-year terms.
This elected group is the governing body of the BitCurator Consortium and directs its activities. The executive council provides top-level leadership on critical decisions, formalizes documentation, and ensures ongoing programmatic success.
The software development committee members support the research and development work of the BitCurator community. They provide input on development priorities, identify and prioritize documentation, aid in development of grant proposals to support ongoing development work, and coordinate quick member feedback on development efforts.
The program committee bears responsibility for planning and implementing the annual BitCurator User’s Forum. The first forum was held in Chapel Hill in January 2015; and the second annual forum is scheduled to take place in Chapel Hill on January 15, 2016.
