Welcoming the 2025–2027 BitCurator Consortium Executive Council!
The BitCurator Consortium is excited to share that our full Executive Council for 2025–2027 is now in place. This council brings together our four new members alongside our continuing President and Treasurer, who will serve through June 2026. Together, this group will guide the Consortium through its next phase following our fiscal host transition from Educopia to the Open Library Foundation. Due to the transition, Executive Council elections were paused in 2024.
The Executive Council will carry forward the work of ensuring long-term sustainability for the BitCurator Environment and the community that surrounds it. This team will continue to strengthen the infrastructure, partnerships, and programs that address the articulated needs of the BCC community – training, collaboration, software development, and documentation – while advocating for the use of open source tools and digital forensics practice worldwide.
We are especially grateful to the Transition Team, Lori Podolsky, Elena Colón Marrero, Shelly Black, and Julie Browny whose careful efforts over the past year made this organizational move possible, and to all members of the BCC community who contributed their insight, energy, and ideas.
We look forward to what this next chapter will bring, and we invite you to join us in welcoming the 2025–2027 Executive Council.
