Elena Colón-Marrero

Elena Colón-Marrero, she/her, is the Archivist for Digital Curation at the Bentley Historical Library at the University of Michigan. At the Bentley, she is responsible for the preservation and access to born-digital materials. Previously she worked as a digital archivist at the Computer History Museum, where she was responsible for the museum’s historic software collection. She is new to the BCC community but has previously explored the use of BitCurator for software preservation. She is a member of the Software Preservation Network. Along with the members of the Metadata Working Group, she contributed to the group’s Software Metadata Recommended Format Guide (SMRF). She also served as a co-lead on the published “Advancing Software Citation Implementation” report for the 2022 Software Citation Workshop.
