Since 2016, Emily Sommers has been the Digital Records Archivist at the University of Toronto Archives and Records Management Services (UTARMS), where she oversees the archives’ born-digital holdings and web archives. She was a member of the 2023 BitCurator Forum Leadership Team and has been active within the Association of Canadian Archivists (ACA) for many years, including as Online Editor for the journal Archivaria since 2015. She is a frequent invited guest speaker at the Faculty of Information (iSchool) at the University of Toronto where she shares with students her practical knowledge of digital preservation and digital archives.
