Mark Pellegrino

Mark Pellegrino is a librarian, computer programmer, and audiovisual technician. His work is based on the digitization and online distribution of antiquated media technologies and rare books. He is currently the Digitization Services Librarian for McMaster University Libraries where he is creating a digital archive of the Bertrand Russell collections. He is the moderator of the Ontario Council of University Libraries Digital Curation Community, and part of the Islandora Foundation Leadership Group. He was formerly Senior Media Specialist for the University of Toronto Media Commons Archives where he specialized in film, audio, video and data preservation. Mark began his career in 2006 at Vtape where he spent years creating and digitizing Canadian video art tapes. His personal research focuses mainly on applying AI to accessibility technologies.
